3 has added three new high-end laptops to its range of mobile broadband with laptop deals, as it looks to target higher-spending consumers and expand its share of the UK mobile broadband market.

As of today, 3 has begun offering mobile broadband and laptop deals with the Toshiba L350-20G, the Fujitsu Siemens Li3710 and the ACER 693G-583. The ACER 693G-583 boasts high-end features such as a full HD LCD widescreen and 3GB of memory. 3 is touting this laptop as suitable for a “demanding professional”.

All three of the new laptops are on offer with a host of different packages, all of which include 3’s mobile broadband dongle. Customers opting for the Toshiba L350-20G can choose a 24-month deal at £50 per month, which entitles them to a monthly download limit of 15GB and 200 UK text messages per month. Alternatively, they can opt for a 5GB monthly limit, which also offers 200 text messages per month over a 24-month contract at £35 per month.

Meanwhile, the Fujitsu Siemens Li3710 laptop is on offer for a £40 monthly payment over 18 months, with a download limit of 5GB and 250 text messages. A second deal, meanwhile, is priced at £55 per month over 18 months and features a download limit of 15GB and 250 texts.

Finally, the ACER 693G-583 is available on plans priced at £40 per month or £55 per month, both over 24 months. These offer download limits of 5GB and 15GB respectively. Both 3’s ACER 693G-583 mobile broadband with laptop deals feature a monthly text message limit of 250.

The mobile broadband and laptop market is expected to grow exponentially this year. The expansion is expected to be driven in part by the appearance of more attractive laptops as part of deals, as evidenced by 3’s new offers.

Conversely, growth is also forecast to be fuelled by the fact by the lower end of the market, too. This is because combined mobile broadband and laptop deals allow cash-strapped consumers to spread their payments for a laptop.
