Telecoms group Vodafone has revealed a new mobile broadband and telephone service for businesses.

From just £5 per month, managers will benefit from a fixed-price plan that offers a consistent bill for voice call usage and significant discounts on mobile internet and email.

According to Vodafone, the country's economic situation has made it all the more important for businesses to regulate their expenditure on communications such as broadband.

Enterprise director for Vodafone UK, Peter Kelly, said: "From our ongoing conversations with customers we know how important it is for them to be able to manage and forecast their cashflow."

Alongside Vodafone's flat-rate £18 mobile broadband package, Mr Kelly added, both of the connections "give managers the predictability and control needed for worry-free business planning".

Earlier this month, statistics from Juniper Research revealed that there could be approximately 722 million mobile business broadband connections in Europe within the next five years.
