TalkTalk is offering free connection to customers who sign up for its Essentials phone and broadband product.
The deal is particularly beneficial for BT customers, who could collectively save £766 million on their broadband and phone costs if they switched to TalkTalk, according to the broadband provider.
For one week only, home broadband subscribers could save £29.99 if they sign up to the deal with TalkTalk.
Announced today (June 10th) by the internet service provider, the offer will run until Saturday.
TalkTalk Essentials features 8Mb broadband, a 40Gb download limit, free wireless router and lots of inclusive calls for £6.49 a month plus line rental of £11.25.
Once signed up, customers will also benefit from free local calls at any time.
TalkTalk noted that as over 11 million BT customers still pay for local calls, they could save up to £428 million by switching to TalkTalk Essentials. Combined with the free connection offer, this could amount to a total saving of £766 million.
Wendy Becker, Managing Director of TalkTalk, said: "Our offer is open to anyone who wants to join the UK's number one residential broadband provider, regardless of their current broadband or phone provider, but we think the savings for current customers of BT are particularly significant."
