Murphx has been voted the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the Year by a leading business publication.
The ISP scooped the prize at the 2009 Comms Business Awards last week after securing the most votes from the readers of the Comms Channel.
Speaking to ISPreview about the award, Director Carl Churchill said that murphx was "delighted to have won".
He noted that the accolade was reflective of the huge effort murphx makes in order to ensure its customers receive the best possible service.
Mr Churchill said that the company is also working hard to guarantee that it maintains its position as the UK's best ISP.
Commenting on the award, he said: "Achieving this recognition at the Comms Channel's most acclaimed, credible, well-supported awards is so important - especially as it was our customers who voted for us."
Other winners at the awards included Opal, which was voted Network Operator of the Year and Titan Technology, which was named Hosted IP Telephony Supplier of the Year.
