Broadband consumers living in Shropshire may find that they pay more or less for their connections depending on whereabouts they live.
According to the Shropshire Star, local residents are up against a 'postcode lottery' when it comes to paying for their internet connections.
The newspaper conducted an investigation into broadband services in the county and discovered that most people have speeds of between 8Mb and 24Mb available to them.
However, it revealed that when it comes to price residents are faced with rather different options, with services ranging from £5 to £50 per month.
In Ludlow, for example, the price varies depending on the length of the contract, promotional discounts and the number of free calls.
Those living in Telford have the best offers available to them though, with more than 50 different packages to choose from.
The paper noted that a "number of 24Mb packages are available, but the most popular package is O2's broadband premium, which offers 20Mb with a free wireless router and is available at £9.79 per month for O2 customers".
