3 has unveiled the full details of its new Mobile Wi-Fi service, which provides wireless broadband anywhere within the provider's mobile network.
Named Mi-Fi, the wireless modem creates a Wi-Fi connection allowing laptops and other devices to be connected to the internet wirelessly.
Due to launch on September 17th, the new service will offer customers one-month contracts with 5GB of data for £15 per month on top of the one-off modem cost of £69.99.
Alternatively, users can pay an upfront charge of £99.99 for the Mi-Fi 'Ready to Go' kit, which includes the modem and 3GB of data to be used over a three month period, after which the modem can be used via Pay As You Go.
Marc Allera, sales and marketing director at 3, said: "Mobile Wi-Fi is the future of internet access on the move and we're bringing it to customers at price points that make it accessible and affordable."
3 will market Mi-Fi, which is intended for people with multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices, to both businesses and consumers hoping to use these peripherals while on the move.
It aims to offer the service alongside its existing mobile broadband packages.
Top 10 Broadband will be putting the 3 Mi-Fi through its paces later this week. Check our reviews section for further information.
