O2 has announced the launch of a new on-site set-up and helpline support service for its small business customers.

The company has announced that its Techies service will allow companies to get help on matters related to their broadband, phone and laptops, while they will also have access to a dedicated helpline for ongoing support.

Available for a one-off cost, the service will also see employees trained to ensure they know how to use the technology correctly.

Simon Devonshire, Head of Small Business Marketing for O2, said: "This is yet another example of O2's commitment to helping its customers get on with the job of running their business, and leave the hassle of setting up and managing technology to us."

Earlier this year, O2 launched a new unified communications platform for both its small and large business customers.

The Joined Up service is designed to ensure clients can outsource IT, telecoms and consultancy to just a single provider.
