An online community hub has been launched to celebrate ten years of broadband evolution.

iBAHN, an internet solutions provider for the hospitality industry, has created the Ten Years of Broadband website to look back at the development of the technology through timelines and expert opinions.

The hub will also host a survey which allows users to give their views on future developments in the broadband world, as well as their current connectivity.

Graeme Powell, managing director of iBAHN, said the landscape has changed "radically over the past ten years".

He added: "We want the broadband community to get involved and build a conversation around what has been achieved, but also discuss where we must focus our energies to deliver over the next ten years."

Recent figures from Gartner found that one in five homes worldwide - which equates to 422 million households - will have broadband connections by the end of 2009.
