Virgin Media and Top 10 Broadband have teamed up for an exclusive broadband deal offering consumers three months free broadband.
Available only for a limited period, customers who sign up to Virgin Media’s broadband package that combines its ‘L’ broadband deal with the ‘M’ home phone facet of its product range will pay nothing for their broadband for the first three months of their contract.
This equates to a saving of £42 over the course of the contract term. Thereafter, for the remaining nine months of the 12-month contract, customers pay just £14 per month, plus £11 per month for a Virgin Media landline.
The broadband element of the package entitles customers to a fibre optic broadband connection of up to 10Mb and unrestricted monthly downloads. Also included is free PCGuard Total Security software for peace of mind when online, as well as a free wireless router and modem.
Meanwhile, the home telephony M offering, which does not require customers to have a BT landline, includes unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines and free voice mail.
In order to qualify for the money-saving incentive, customers can visit Top10’s dedicated Virgin Media provider page and sign up for the deal online. The page also contains details of other limited-period promotions through which consumers can benefit. Among the offers currently available are two-months free broadband on selected broadband, TV and phone bundles and free installation.
Virgin Media’s embrace of fibre optic broadband technology has placed the company at the cutting-edge of the UK telecommunications, online entertainment and broadband sectors. The company's high-tech network allows the broadband supplier to offer consumers download speeds of up to 50Mb – well in excess of most rivals.
Earlier this year, the company’s range of cable broadband products saw Virgin Media named the UK’s fastest home broadband provider at Top10’s 2009 industry awards ceremony.
