Broadband provider BT is now offering new subscribers to its TV packages the chance to get hold of a Vision+ box for free.

The online-only offer means that new or existing customers who are re-contracting for 12 months, or have more than 12 months of their minimum term remaining, can get their hands on one of the set-top boxes.

According to BT, the new and improved version of its Vision+ box is designed to cut power consumption, while it includes a 160GB hard drive which subscribers can use to easily record their favourite shows.

Customers also get access to BT Vision's on-demand content, which includes a range of films, comedy and drama from a number of sources - including Fox and NBC thanks to recent agreements made between the provider and the two companies.

Those looking to take up the deal have until January 15th to take advantage of the offer.
