Fibre-optic broadband provider Virgin Media is to demonstrate the power of 200Mb internet services at the Ideal Home Show 2010.

As part of the Home of the Future exhibition at the event, which starts tomorrow (March 20th) at Earl's Court in London, the company will showcase the fastest broadband service in the UK.

Virgin Media will also outline how home entertainment will become key to UK life in the future, while it is set to preview its most advanced TV service yet.

Ashley Stockwell, the firm's Executive Director of Brand and Marketing, said 200Mb broadband will offer the best in entertainment to consumers.

He added: "By pushing the boundaries of broadband in the UK we hope to drive a change in the way Brits enjoy and experience digital entertainment and exciting new services."

Virgin Media has already announced plans to launch its 100Mb broadband service across the UK by the end of 2010.
