Consumers across the UK will be able to sample Virgin Media's range of broadband and TV packages at Best Buy stores later this year.

The consumer electronics retailer's outlets, which are opening in areas including Essex and Liverpool in the coming months, will feature interactive demonstrations of all of the broadband provider's products.

Some stores will be linked to 50Mb broadband services, while staff will also showcase the benefits of Virgin Media's on-demand platform and its range of set-top boxes.

Peter Taddeo, Executive Director of Consumer Sales at Virgin Media, said: "We're passionate about bringing new technology and our products to life. Best Buy's mould-breaking stores will provide a perfect environment in which to do this."

He added that consumers will be able to try before they buy and understand the quality of the deals.

Virgin Media recently launched its V HD box, which can be purchased by new and existing subscribers for a one-off cost of £49.
