Broadband users now have the chance to connect to the web using both an iPod touch and a Mac, thanks to a new offer from Apple.

The global giant has launched a new deal which allows college or university students a rebate of up to £130 on an iPod when they sign up to buy an Apple Mac computer to support their learning.

Apple has revealed it is offering the deal up until September 7th, while it will only be available at its online or retail stores in the UK.

Details of the deal have come at a busy time for Apple, as it gears up to launch its iPad tablet device in the UK at the end of this week.

Broadband providers are gearing up for the launch by introducing new microSIM data plans for use with the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G.

3 has revealed that it is offering two new plans featuring data allowances of 1GB and 10GB.
