A growing number of broadband users are turning to TalkTalk's range of internet deals, it has been revealed.

In the broadband provider's financial results for the final quarter of the fiscal year ended March 31st, it was revealed the firm added 42,000 net new internet customers over the period.

The increase means the company's overall broadband customer base now stands at almost 4.2 million, while the provider's total revenue increased by 21.7 per cent to £1.6 million.

According to Charles Dunstone, Chairman of TalkTalk, the company performed ably throughout the entire year.

"Our straightforward, value-for-money customer propositions, and the benefits of our investment in the UK's most extensive next generation network, enabled us to report strong revenue, profit and cash-flow growth," he added.

The release of the financial figures has come after TalkTalk revealed it is currently lending its support to a major online campaign organised by leading autism charity TreeHouse.
