Web users only have one week left to take up TalkTalk's three months' free broadband and home phone deal.

Available on the broadband provider's Essentials package, the current deal also offers new subscribers the chance to enjoy free connection worth £29.99.

The deal includes access to broadband with speeds up to 24Mbps, a 40GB download allowance, free evening and weekend calls, as well as a free wireless router and child-friendly Magic Desktop service.

After the initial three-month period, the cost of the package – which is available on an 18-month minimum contract – reverts to its usual price of £6.99 a month with £11.49 line rental.

Originally established in 2003, TalkTalk has grown to become one of the biggest broadband providers in the UK.

Over four million home phone and broadband users in the UK are signed up to its portfolio of brands, which includes the likes of Tiscali and AOL Broadband.
