Satellite broadband provider Tariam is looking to encourage more people to take up such technology by cutting the price of its Homenet deals.
The company's Basic package offers a 2.4GB data allowance for £35 a month, while the Bronze deal features an allowance of 6GB and costs £55 a month.
In addition, the Silver package is now priced at £55 a month and features a 6GB allowance, while Homenet Gold offers 12GB for £115 a month.
Each of the deals include download speeds of up to 3.5Mb and uploads of 384Kb.
Installation of the necessary equipment by a Tariam-certified engineer will cost £699, while those who source their own installer can get their hands on the system for £399.
Details of the price changes came after Andrew Walwyn, Managing Director of Tariam, said that consumers across the UK could potentially save money by taking up satellite broadband services instead of fixed line alternatives.
