Leading UK broadband provider Virgin Media is guaranteeing a swift connection for any new customers signing up to its digital TV services before May 21st.
Mindful that the World Cup is now just a matter of weeks away, the internet service provider is promising that consumers will not be left hanging when the tournament kicks off.
While all matches will be shown on terrestrial television, Virgin Media subscribers will be able to soak up the action in high definition, courtesy of the ITV1 HD and BBC HD channels.
These are in addition to the other 13 channels available to consumers signing up for a digital TV and broadband bundle.
According to a recent study conducted by consumer group Which?, approximately one quarter of UK viewers are enjoying high definition TV in their own homes.
And should England go all the way in South Africa this month, a few more may wish they had signed up for the premium service.
The World Cup commences on June 11th, with the hosts lining up against Mexico in the opening match in Johannesburg.
