Sales of Apple's new iPad system have topped two million in less than 60 days of its initial US launch, it has been revealed.
The computing giant has suggested that the popularity of the tablet devices looks set to rise further, as they are now being shipped to the UK, Australia, Canada, France and Germany.
In addition, it will also be made available in nine more countries in July, as well as more territories later this year.
Steve Jobs, Chief Executive Officer of Apple, said: "Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do.
"We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone."
Last week, 3 announced that it has joined Vodafone, Orange and O2 by launching data price plans designed specifically for use with the Wi-Fi + 3G version of the iPad.
