Demon Internet has returned from relative obscurity, relaunching itself as a small business broadband specialist.

The internet service provider (ISP), which has been somewhat quiet since being bought by Cable & Wireless in 2008, is to focus on the high-end UK broadband market.

Demon has launched a range of broadband deals for small and medium-sized enterprises, priced between £19 and £190 per month, each of which offers guaranteed bandwidth, generous usage allowances and UK-based support.

Matt Cantwell, Head of Demon, said it was "really exciting" to be leading a comeback and re-engaging with its customers.

"We want to remind everyone that Demon Broadband is the best at providing business internet services," he stated.

"In addition, our heritage in the ISP market and in-house technical and business expertise means we can consult our customers on the best broadband package to suit their needs."

Founded in 1992, Demon Internet was initially bought out by THUS in May 1998, before being acquired by Cable & Wireless a decade later.
