Internet service provider O2 has launched the Dell Streak tablet device in the UK today (June 4th).

The company is offering the system, which runs on the Google Android operating system and includes a five-inch touchscreen display, alongside a range of compatible mobile broadband deals.

Available in O2's retail stores, the Streak includes 3G, Wi-FI and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as expandable memory via micro SD cards.

Data-only contract deals for the system start from £25 a month on a two-year deal, while voice and data services are available from £35 a month.

Discussing the device last month, Steve Alder, O2's General Manager of Devices, said the Streak represents "a bold new class of product".

News of the Streak's launch has come after it was revealed that Apple has now sold over two million iPads across the world.

The sales milestone has been reached in less than 60 days since the device's April launch.
