Plusnet has cut prices across its range of home broadband deals, as part of a limited period incentive.

As of today (June 11th), the monthly charge for the broadband supplier’s acclaimed, entry-level Value broadband deal is just £4.99 per month.

The company’s higher-end Extra and Pro products will now feature monthly charges of £9.99 and £14.99 per month respectively.

All three deals are over 12-month contracts and include a free, easy-to-set-up wireless router so that a single connection can be shared among multiple users. Plusnet will also provide around the clock customer support.

Key features of the Value package, which is aimed principally at consumers with light usage needs, include a broadband connection speed of up to 8Mb and a monthly download limit of 10Gb.

Aimed at heavier web users and people who download content extensively, Plusnet’s Extra offers a 20Mb connection and a usage limit of 60GB, as well as a static IP address.

The premium Pro package, meanwhile, is tailored towards online gaming enthusiasts. This means that gaming traffic is prioritised and ‘ping’ – the delay to in-game responses that occurs with less stable connections – is kept to an absolute minimum.

As with the Extra offering, Pro subscribers can expect a super fast connection of up to 20Mb and a static IP address. The monthly usage limit is a more modest 20GB, but Plusnet also offers its Pro customers 240 minutes of free VOIP calls.

In common with many smaller providers, Plusnet is consistently highly rated in consumer surveys for its levels of customer care and keenly priced packages.

Last year, the internet service provider scooped the award for the UK’s best value home broadband provider at Top 10 Broadband’s annual awards.
