All consumers who sign up for its award-winning value Essentials broadband and home phone product or more specialist Pro package before July 31st will be exempt from the standard charge of £29.99 for installation.

Priced £6.99 per month, Essentials subscribers benefit from a super fast broadband connection of up to 24Mb (depending on location) and a monthly download limit of up to 40GB.

The package also includes a free wireless ‘G’ router, so a single connection can be used by multiple broadband enabled devices, and free UK landline evening and weekend calls. Alongside this, free voice mail is provided, as is the option to set up a calling circle of friends and family on mobile and international numbers for cheaper calls.

Aimed at heavier users and priced £14.99 per month, the Pro package features a headline connection speed of up to 24Mb but features no monthly download limit. This means that subscribers can download as many videos and music tracks as they like without worrying about incurring excess charges.

Additionally, TalkTalk Pro includes free calls at any time to UK landlines, a cutting-edge wireless ‘N’ router and a free privacy feature. Sweetening the package further is a flat rate of 7p per minute for calling UK mobiles and the same calling circle and voice mail features as Essentials.

Both products include TalkTalk’s complimentary educational computer programme to teach children how to stay safe online and free technical and customer support.

TalkTalk’s low-cost broadband products recently helped the company seal the award for the UK’s best value broadband provider in uSwitch’s annual poll. This marked the sixth consecutive year that the broadband provider has won the Best Value for Money award.

Recognition in the survey came after it was last year accorded the same honour at the Top 10 Broadband Awards.

Latterly, TalkTalk has also hit the headlines for its high-profile opposition to government legislation to tackle file-sharing by making broadband suppliers responsible for monitoring the usage habits of their customers.
