Broadband provider Sky is to offer its TV subscribers access to a high definition (HD) version of Five from tomorrow (July 13th), according to reports.
Details of the HD service were originally published in March, but it has now been confirmed that the channel will be available at position 171 on Sky's electronic programme guide, reports Digital Spy.
The channel will include shows such as Neighbours and Home and Away, while it will also be the 42nd HD service to be offered to Sky's TV subscribers.
Discussing Five HD, Hilary Perchard, Sky's Director of Product Management, said in March: "With the best of free and pay TV now in HD, there's never been a better time to embrace HD."
Sky recently confirmed that its Sky Sports News channel will soon only be available through its broadband TV deals.
The company is investing in the channel and plans to take it off Freeview later this year.
