Three news

Internet service provider (ISP) 3 says it dongle services offer "mobile broadband for less".

In an advert published in the Metro, the broadband provider said its web services are available at a cheaper rate than its industry rivals.

3 is currently offering consumers the opportunity to purchase a 1GB data allowance for just £7.50 per month.

"Just plug our USB dongle into your PC or laptop to enjoy internet access wherever you like," the ISP said.

The dongle is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7, plus Mac operating systems subject to the installation of additional drivers.

Subscribers signing up on a 24-month minimum contract receive the 3 dongle for free, helping them to limit the costs of remote connectivity.

On this tariff, consumers are charged an additional 10p per MB consumed if they exceed their monthly data allowance.

Last week, 3 announced that it would be providing mobile broadband deals on Samsung's flagship tablet Galaxy.
