Consumers signing up for BT Total Broadband are now being offered the additional incentive of a £25 John Lewis gift voucher.

The internet service provider is enabling new customers to shop for free at the department store when they sign up for the popular broadband package.

All consumers are required to do to activate the offer is make a note of their BT reference number when signing up, and enter their details on BT.com.

The voucher will then be sent out within 45 days, once all broadband services have been activated, BT explained.

Consumers signing up for BT Total Broadband can take advantage of 20Mb download speeds, a 10GB monthly usage allowance and a free wireless BT Home Hub worth £89.99.

The broadband deal also includes free evening and weekend calls from subscribers' BT landline, and free connection if they require a new line.
