The appeal of BT Vision services is set to be enhanced by the addition of BBC iPlayer content to the platform.

From December 2010, BT broadband bundle subscribers will be able to take advantage of the Beeb's catch-up service, which makes the majority of TV and radio content available online.

A BBC iPlayer-branded application will replace BBC content on BT Vision's existing 50-hour TV Replay package, the broadcaster has announced.

Marc Watson, Chief Executive of Television and Online Services at BT Retail, said: "We are really excited to be partnering with the BBC to bring the BBC iPlayer service to BT Vision customers.

"The launch of BBC iPlayer on BT Vision adds to the vast range of quality entertainment already available to our customers."

Rival broadband TV provider Virgin Media recently signed a deal to offer Channel 5 content on its own on-demand television service.
