Leading internet service provider (ISP) TalkTalk has made its long-awaited entrance into the mobile broadband market.

The broadband provider will offer dongle services to consumers in the UK, allowing them to access the internet on the move from a variety of locations.

TalkTalk's mobile broadband deals come on a one-month rolling contract, costing £10 per month for 1GB of data.

In addition, consumers are required to pay a one-off fee of £29.99 to purchase a dongle from the ISP.

Tristia Clarke, Commercial Director at TalkTalk, commented: "Millions of people already receive our fixed-line phone and broadband services, so the obvious next step was for us to offer mobile packages and allow our customers to use a TalkTalk phone or dongle on the go."

She said the service would offer "incredible value" to UK customers, and prove "extremely attractive" to customers looking for a low-cost but high-performance mobile broadband package.

TalkTalk's new mobile broadband services will be supported by rival ISP Vodafone's network.
