Consumers are running out of time if they wish to have access to a Virgin Media broadband bundle this Christmas.

With demand for the firm's broadband deals high as the festive season looms, the internet service provider is urging households to register as soon as possible.

Time is running out for the firm to install and activate new broadband deals in time for December 25th, meaning those who subscribe after today could find themselves offline on Christmas Day.

Indeed, today (Friday December 10th) is the last day for new customers to receive guaranteed account activation prior to Christmas.

With a host of new content available to Virgin Media TV subscribers over the festive season, and online catch-up services a must for many households, registering late could prove disastrous.

December is proving to be a busy month for Virgin Media, which earlier this week officially launched its new 100Mb broadband service.

Households based in Colchester, Barry, Heckmondwike and Farnborough have been the first in the UK to gain access to the ISP's new super-fast fibre broadband deals.
