Broadband at work

Internet service provider (ISP) Aquiss is aiming to boost subscriber numbers through a new 'try before you buy' broadband offer.

Customers can sign up for the firm's Family and Gaming products on a free one-month trial, reserving the right to cancel their subscription after 30 days if they are dissatisfied.

However, subscribers must migrate away from the ISP – rather than simply cancel their contract – if they are to avoid a £30 cancellation fee.

Notice to leave must also be given within ten days, and migration within 28 days if the offer is to apply.

Home internet users wishing to take advantage of the broadband deal need to use the promotion code 'TRYBUY' during the registration process.

Last month, the ISP announced the launch of a 40Mb fibre-to-the-cabinet broadband service, priced at £36 per month.
