Internet service provider (ISP) Virgin Media saw revenues leap by 5.8 per during 2010, after experiencing what it described as the firm's "best ever year".
The home entertainment giant increased turnover to £3.8 billion, with a rise in broadband deal subscriptions making a significant contribution to the cause.
Virgin Media added 44,100 new broadband customers during the final quarter of the year, taking its nationwide total to 4.29 million.
The ISP ended 2010 with a total of 4.8 million subscribers, 63 per cent of whom are triple-pay broadband bundle customers.
