Three news

Mobile broadband specialist 3 has become the latest internet service provider (ISP) to announce plans to stock the iPad 2.

David Kerrigan, Head of Internet Services at the firm, said the broadband provider will offer Apple's much vaunted new tablet with Wi-Fi + 3G and also dedicated data plans.

Rival ISPs Orange and T-Mobile revealed their own plans to offer iPad 2 broadband deals to the UK consumer market last week.

"iPad 2 is the next generation of Apple's magical device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading ebooks and much more," said 3 in a statement.

"The amazing new iPad 2 improves on the original iPad by being thinner, lighter and faster, all while maintaining the same incredible ten hours of battery life."

UK customers will be able to get their hands on a second-generation Apple iPad from March 25th – two weeks after the tablet officially launches in the US.
