Internet service provider (ISP) Boingo is continuing to extend its wireless broadband network throughout the UK and Ireland.

The international carrier launched in the British Isles with just 5,000 hotspots 12 months ago, but has significantly increased its reach during the last year.

Consumers can now get online at 125,000 Boingo wireless broadband hotspots in the UK and Ireland, with unlimited Wi-Fi services available to subscribers.

When travelling abroad, they can also take advantage of a further 200,000 Wi-Fi hotspots.

"People have come to expect readily accessible high speed internet access on-the-go," commented Dawn Callahan, Vice-President of Consumer Marketing at the ISP.

"We want to make it easy and affordable for people to stay connected, without worrying about their mobile broadband data limits."

Boingo has also reduced the price of an unlimited Wi-Fi subscription for UK consumers by 20 per cent to £11.95 per month.
