Plusnet news

Internet service provider (ISP) Plusnet has launched a new range of 20Mb business broadband deals for UK companies.

The firm, which has also introduced a 40Mb consumer broadband service this week, has used ADSL2+ technology to increase the download and upload speeds available to UK firms.

Businesses located in an ADSL2+ networked area will receive the upgrade for no extra fee.

Plusnet customers subscribing to Business Broadband Options 1, 2 and 3 will receive increased broadband speeds, while the ISP will also be offering Prioritised Service, Enhanced Care, and Annex M services.

Enhanced Care will be unchanged for Plusnet business subscribers, while Prioritised Service replaces the current Max Premium service.

Annex M is a new service which allows ADSL2+ users to receive up to 2.5Mb upstream by sacrificing a small amount of their available downstream bandwidth.

Plusnet said this option will cost business broadband users an additional £10 per month.
