Coach services for Stansted Airport have been equipped with free wireless broadband services, it has been announced.

According to myNewsDesk, around 40,000 commuters have already used the Wi-Fi network, which is accessible on National Express coaches travelling to the airport.

Download speeds of up to 7.2Mb are currently being delivered to passengers via T-Mobile's 3G network and Icomera's Moovbox M200 Wi-Fi solution.

Dave Palmer, General Manager for Icomera's Road Division, said that with this deployment, National Express has "once again demonstrated its commitment to meeting the expectations of today's business and leisure travellers".

"With millions of new Wi-Fi-enabled smartphones and tablet PCs being purchased every month the demand for reliable internet connectivity on the move is growing exponentially," he stated.

"We are delighted to be supporting innovative customers like National Express in getting customers onboard and online."
