Zen Internet has launched a new, lower-cost fibre broadband package, it has been revealed.
The firm is now offering a cheaper entry-level broadband deal, Fibre Lite, which offers download speeds of up to 40Mb.
ISPreview.co.uk reports that the 10GB broadband deal is available for £27.60 per month over the course of a one-year contract – around 25 per cent cheaper than the firm's other packages.
Andrew Saunders, Zen Internet's Head of Product Management and Marketing, said Fibre Lite is making super-fast broadband "more accessible than ever before".
"With nearly half of our fibre customers getting a faster than predicted service and 95 per cent of them saying that they would recommend Zen fibre-optic broadband to a friend or colleague, the introduction of Fibre Lite is a really important step," he added.
Mr Saunders claimed that feedback from customers had strongly indicated that fibre broadband performance transforms people's internet experience.
"[This] is not just by making their service faster, but by enabling them to try new applications that might previously have been out of reach," he added.
