Public access Wi-Fi provider The Cloud has agreed a new partnership with coffee house Caffè Nero, it has been announced.

The firm will equip 450 of the firm's outlets across the UK with free wireless broadband services, allowing customers to get online on their laptops and mobile devices.

From September 2011, up to one million customers per week will have the opportunity to use free broadband when they visit Caffè Nero.

Shane Moates, Head of Business Development at Caffè Nero, said the firm's customers expect a premium espresso-based coffee experience and the Wi-Fi experience they receive should match this level of quality.

"Having a strong, fast and reliable internet connection is important to our customers and helps integrate Caffè Nero into the local community as a neighbourhood gathering spot," he claimed.

Steve Nicholson, Managing Director of The Cloud, claimed that coffee shops are one of the most popular places for people to use public access Wi-Fi.

"Caffè Nero is a substantial addition to our list of partners and joins the ever-growing number of site owners who recognise just how important Wi-Fi is to the way people live their lives," he stated.

The Cloud has also recently signed deals to provide free Wi-Fi services to Pizza Express and Nintendo customers.
