T-Mobile has offered a boost to mobile broadband users by reducing the purchase price of its USB modems.
Consumers can now get their hands on a T-Mobile dongle for £9.99 - a 50 per cent discount on the previous price.
This special offer applies when customers sign up for a pay per day mobile broadband deal.
Dongle users are able to choose between a Mobile Broadband USB Stick 615 in pink or black casing.
The USB modems come with simple plug and play technology, work with Windows 7 and Mac software, and contain space for a 4GB memory card.
Users have the option of paying £2 a day, £7 a week or £15 a month for their pay per day dongle.
All they need to get started is a £9.99 USB modem and an initial £10 top-up. Top-ups can be completed quickly and easily using My T-Mobile.
The USB Stick 615 enables users to download data at speeds up to 7.2 Mb.
"It's also nippy if you need to swap files between PCs, Macs and phones. Just slip a microSD card into the slot - it'll take up to 8GB," T-Mobile explained.
"Getting online couldn't be easier. Simply plug the USB modem Stick into any USB port. Then enjoy fast, reliable mobile broadband that covers a whopping 80 per cent of the UK."
The broadband provider has also reduced the price of a dongle for customers selecting a pay up front mobile broadband deal.
Customers pay £29.99 – down from £39.99 – for 90 days' mobile broadband access, with a 1GB per month usage allowance.
T-Mobile emerged triumphant in the Best Mobile Broadband category at the 2010 Mobile Industry Awards.
