Tesco has launched a new discount broadband deal offering half-price internet services for 12 months.

The supermarket giant and broadband provider is offering significant savings on its home phone and broadband packages, when consumers use the 'HALFBB-C' discount code during registration.

Tesco Broadband with inclusive evening and weekend calls offers 20Mb downloads, an unlimited usage allowance, free set-up, a free wireless broadband router and one Clubcard point for every £1 spent.

Consumers pay £4 per month for the first year of their 18-month contract, before the price reverts to £8 for the final six months. An £11.75 line rental fee also applies.

If households desire anytime calls, they are required to pay an extra £4 per month over the duration of their broadband deal.

All other features of the inclusive anytime calls broadband package – including 20Mb speeds and unlimited downloads – are the same.
