TalkTalk received fewer customer service complaints during the third quarter of 2011, according to figures published by Ofcom.
However, the broadband provider again topped the charts for the most number of issues raised, with 0.55 complaints per 1,000 customers.
This was down from a peak of 0.81 per 1,000 customers during the first three months of 2011, suggesting the firm is moving in the right direction.
Of the four main broadband providers, Sky and Virgin Media received the fewest complaints (0.19 per 1,000 customers), with BT in midfield with 0.50.
O2 proved to be the best mobile broadband performer during Q3 2011, with Ofcom recording just 0.02 complaints per 1,000 subscribers.
Next best was T-Mobile (0.06), while Virgin Media, Vodafone and Orange all received 0.07 complaints per 1,000 customers.
The worst performer in the third quarter was Three, with an average of 0.14 complaints - although this still represented relatively few customer service issues.
