UK consumers have identified Plusnet as their favourite broadband provider for super-fast services, a new poll has revealed.

The Yorkshire-based broadband provider has topped the Which? consumer satisfaction survey, fending off competition from a number of industry rivals.

As a result, the Sheffield-headquartered firm has been named a Which? Recommended Provider, and received a four-star rating for value for money, connection reliability, customer service and technical support.

Both Plusnet Value Fibre and Plusnet Extra Fibre were cited as top performers, receiving 84 per cent overall customer satisfaction ratings from a sample of 1,000 customers.

And the firm's entry-level broadband package Plusnet Value Broadband was also recognised, receiving a 74 per cent approval rating.

This was up two per cent on the broadband deal's performance last year, suggesting that Plusnet is continuing to improve the customer experience.

Jamie Ford, Chief Executive Officer at Plusnet, said it is great that, for the second time running, the firm has been appointed as a Which? Recommended Provider.

"To be recognised for both our value products and be deemed market leading for super-fast broadband is fantastic," he commented.

"This is an independent survey with the findings fully dependent on the feedback of actual customers."

As such, Mr Ford said it was "very gratifying" to see that Plusnet is achieving its aim of pleasing its customer base.

Plusnet won four uSwitch Broadband Awards this year, emerging triumphant in the 'Best Customer Rated Broadband Provider', 'Best Value Home Broadband', 'Most Reliable Service' and 'Most Likely to be Recommended' categories.
