BT has added to the appeal of its broadband packages by launching a special offer for new subscribers.

The telecoms firm is now offering a free £50 Sainsbury's voucher to customers signing up for internet and home phone services.

This gives BT subscribers the opportunity to make significant savings on a weekly shop at the UK supermarket chain.

The gift certificate offer is available with a number of BT broadband packages, including Broadband and Evening & Weekend Calls, More Broadband and Evening & Weekend Calls and Unlimited Broadband and Evening & Weekend Calls.

BT's entry-level Broadband and Evening & Weekend Calls package is available from just £13 per month plus a line rental fee of £10.75 per month.

For this, consumers receive up to 16Mb download speeds and a 10GB usage allowance, plus evening and weekend calls.

They are also entitled to a free BT Home Hub, BT Family Protection and free wireless broadband access.

Meanwhile, subscribers have the option of adding BT TV services from £4 per month.
