BT has boosted the appeal of its BT Vision television platform by adding the National Geographic Channel (NGC) to its offering.

Viewers will now be able to tune into shows such as Air Crash Investigation, Seconds from Disaster, Bloody Tales from the Tower and The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan on the popular channel.

BT Vision customers are currently able to watch NGC programmes on-demand, but will soon gain access to live programming, giving them a wider range of options.

They will also be able to view content on Nat Geo Wild - NGC's sister channel - as part of the deal.

Marc Watson, Chief Executive of BT Vision, said the firm is "delighted to have signed a linear deal with an incredible brand like NGC".

"With channels like UKTV Gold, FX and now NGC, we are building a fantastic portfolio of TV channels that we hope will really appeal to our customers," he added.
