Virgin Media news

Virgin Media has boosted the appeal of its TiVo-based IPTV service by launching a pioneering new dance app.

'Living the Dream' - designed by award-winning entrepreneur Zoe Jackson - gives broadband and TV subscribers the opportunity to 'shake on down' with video performances from some of the top names in the industry.

These include Flawless, Chris and Wes, Abyss, Boy Blue, Alleviate, Unity UK and Masters of Motion.

Virgin Media subscribers will be able to brush up on their dance skills and learn new moves through dance classes available on-demand.

The app covers a wide range of styles including street dance, contemporary and hip hop.

Zoe Jackson, Managing Director of Living The Dream, said: "We're really excited about launching our very own app and reaching hundreds of thousands of Virgin Media customers.

"As well as providing great entertainment, our dedicated TiVo app is a great way to get more people off the sofa and dancing in their living rooms."

She said that whether people are keen dancers or simply looking for a way to keep fit, the app offers "something for everyone".

Aleks Habdank, Director of Digital Entertainment at Virgin Media, said the flexibility of its TiVo service allows the firm to champion the creative industries - giving them the platform to reach hundreds of thousands of living rooms across the UK.

"Providing new interactive services and bespoke content through apps allows us to cater for all of our customers’ telly tastes," he stated.
