BT broadband subscribers have suffered another service outage, it has been reported.

"Multiple areas" were affected by the latest network glitch, with consumers in London and the south-east left without telecoms services.

"Sorry if you weren't able to access BT Broadband in or near London earlier," the firm stated.

BT announced on Twitter that the problem had been solved, but consumers may need to restart their hub to reconnect to the internet.

Many consumers then took to social networking website Twitter to vent their frustration at the outage - the second in a month for BT.

Last month, problems at the Faraday telephone exchange in London led to another serious service outage on BT's network.

Again consumers in south-east England bore the brunt of the downtime, with many households unable to access the internet for a number of hours.
