Sky's new online service Now TV is being made available to YouView customers, it has been announced.

The flexible subscription service - launched by Sky in July - will be available to UK households purchasing a YouView set-top box.

This means viewers will be able to access a variety of Sky content without the need to sign up for one for the broadcaster's TV bundles.

At present, Now TV is available for free for the first 30 days, meaning YouView customers have the opportunity to enjoy Sky Movies without charge for a month.

Sky is also making Now TV available to PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad and selected Android smartphone users.

Simon Creasey, Director of Now TV, said the service will bring "more choice" to UK consumers.

"As we move forward, Now TV will get even bigger and better, with more devices and more platforms in the coming months," he stated.

"Customers can also look forward to the best live action from Sky Sports and great drama, comedy and entertainment from our Sky channels."
