Broadband provider TalkTalk has upgraded its Mobile Minutes Boost, which allows internet and home phone customers to make inclusive calls to mobile numbers.

The firm is now offering 1,000 minutes as part of this package, up from 500, at no extra cost to broadband package subscribers.

Tristia Clarke, Commercial Director at the firm, described the offer as "unbeatable".

She said that almost half a million TalkTalk customers are already using the Mobile Minute Boosts, which offer the best value calls from landlines to mobiles.

Ms Clarke explained that the 100 Mobile Minutes Boost costs £3 per month, while customers can add the 1,000 Mobile Minutes Boost for £5 per month.

"It’s no wonder these Boosts are so popular," Ms Clarke stated.

"BT’s typical rate for calls from landlines to mobiles is 11.3 pence per minute, whereas a TalkTalk customer with the 1,000 Mobile Minutes Boost who uses all of their minutes can make the same calls at a cost of just 0.5p per minute."

She said TalkTalk introduced the offer to provide "peace of mind" for customers who want to call mobile phones from their landlines, without the risk of running up a large bill at the end of the month.

"Our Calling Circle feature, free for all TalkTalk customers, also offers a ten per cent discount on calls to up to 11 mobile or landline numbers and up to six international numbers," Ms Clarke said.

She added that TalkTalk's Essentials and Plus TV packages offer free, unlimited calls to UK landlines.
