Mobile broadband provider Vodafone is giving UK consumers the chance to get their hands on its new tablet device for a low monthly fee.
The firm is offering its Vodafone Smart Tab II, complete with 3G mobile broadband connectivity and Wi-Fi capability, for just £29 - plus £20 per month over a two-year contract.
Powered by Lenovo, the seven-inch tablet comes with a 1GHz processor, a front and rear facing camera and a Micro SD card slot expanding the 4GB of internal memory up to 32GB.
The tablet is just 11.5mm thick and weighs 400 grams, meaning it is ideal for accessing broadband services on the move.
With a £20 per month mobile broadband deal, subscribers receive 2GB of data per month plus 1GB of Wi-Fi.
"With immediate start-up, the tablet brings instant entertainment to your fingertips," Vodafone stated.
"Running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the Vodafone Smart Tab II gives you on-the-go access to news, videos and entertainment, as well as more than 600,000 apps and games through Google Play."
The firm said the Tab II meets "all your essential data needs" not only through home Wi-Fi, but when users are out and about using Vodafone's mobile network.
It offers "complete mobility at an unbeatable price", Vodafone claimed.
Consumers are also able to buy a Vodafone Smart Tab II outright for £149, and then pay for mobile broadband access on a pay-as-you-go basis.
