The YouView IPTV service has gone down a treat with UK consumers, it has been claimed.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Marc Watson, Chief Executive of BT Vision, said his company has received "brilliant" feedback from households that have adopted a set-top box.
YouView went live in July and BT launched its own box in September, giving subscribers the opportunity to take advantage of the new service.
Mr Watson said the service features - such as on-demand content from the last seven days - are proving extremely popular with viewers.
"They can record, pause and rewind live TV," he noted.
"And there’s also a search facility that allows them to find on-demand content by programme or genre."
Mr Watson explained that he was involved with YouView at the conceptual stage - back in the early Project Canvas days.
"I wouldn’t claim ownership of it. Its development was an iterative process and very much a team effort."
However Mr Watson said he is "very proud" of the YouView service.
