Mobile and broadband provider EE has revamped its fibre deals to offer customers half-price broadband for six months.

People signing up to the deal will only have to pay half the usual price for the first six months of their contract and will also benefit from free installation, which normally costs £50.

The offer is set to run until February 28th and is open to both new and upgrading standard EE broadband customers signing up to one of the company's fibre plans, which start from £7.50 a month.

Furthermore, customers will receive a free EE Bright Box wireless router, worth £95; the company's most powerful router ever, offering excellent coverage throughout the entire home.

At an average speed of 58.5Mb, EE's fibre broadband is almost ten times faster than the average speed of 5.9Mb on standard broadband across the UK.

Customers who sign up to the Fibre Broadband and calls option will receive unlimited calls to UK landlines on evenings and weekends, in addition to up to 38 Mb broadband and 40Gb of downloads for just £7.50 a month.

Alternatively, customers can have up to 38Mb broadband and unlimited downloads for £10 a month, or up to 76Mb broadband and unlimited downloads for £12.50.

Each of these packages comes on an 18-month contract and, as with all EE internet packages, customers also receive award-winning McAfee anti-virus and parental controls free for a year, ensuring enhanced security at all times when browsing the web.

Customers also benefit from regular EE perks such as Orange Wednesdays, offering 2-4-1 cinema tickets every Wednesday and over 500 movies to choose from on the online EE Film Store.

With EE Film, customers can also download or stream movies on their mobile phone, tablet or laptop, ensuring access is available at all times.

Last October, EE became the first major UK broadband provider to launch 4G mobile broadband services, offering super-fast broadband speeds to mobile device users, enabling them to watch high quality TV and film content on the move.
