Be Broadband is giving customers the chance to win an Acer Chromebook today (Friday March 8th).

The broadband provider is giving away the computer to one lucky competition winner in this week's FreeBe Friday competition.

In order to enter, Be customers simply have to answer the following question: 'Chromebook runs what OS?'

The service provider claimed that Chromebooks divide opinion among consumers, with some loving the laptop but others less so.

"To some it is a heavy paper weight when there is no Wi-Fi, but to others it is a futureproof, lean machine that works just fine so long as you’re tethering your phone signal," Be Broadband noted.

"Either way, getting one for free ain’t too shabby, and it is always nice to try out new tech."

Be subscribers can enter today's competition on Twitter using the #FreeBEfriday hashtag or via the firm's Facebook application.

Full terms and conditions are available on the broadband provider's website.
